I bought one of these – it's great, really clever – I have it on the Lounge Curtains. The instructions are brilliant, except they instruct you to put the device in view (for Advertising, I suppose), but you can use them back to front. I have one of these in my living room, and it works very well. It's Zigbee and paired with Zigbee2MQTT on the first time It operates with Alexa - 'Close the Living Room Curtains' It also has a sensor, e.g. you give the curtain a little tug and it will close or open I think it is designed to work on Curtains with a rail, but even though it says it shouldn't work, I have it on curtains with curtain rings Battery life seems reasonable, with all these things, it's hard to say I purchased a solar panel as an accessory from Ali Express - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007390599337.html But it is no longer available Installation Guide From Sonoff
